Merry Christmas! Brian and I wanted to get in the festive spirit, so we headed to New York City for a week right before the holidays to see all of the decorations and finish Christmas shopping. We both worked from our New York offices during the week, but still had lots of time to eat at great restaurants and visit friends. What a magical season it’s been! Tuesday was Christmas so we spent then and Christmas Eve celebrating with all branches of the family!

We hosted our annual Holiday Brunch! It’s one of my favorite new traditions of the holiday season, having a group of our friends come over for brunch, mimosas and a Secret Santa.

In the midst of Christmas shopping, I decided to pop into Forever 21 to see if I could find a dress for my Secret Santa Brunch (read about the party here!). I saw this beautifully vibrant red polka-dot wrap dress for $17 and fell in love! I couldn't believe I found such a festive dress at such a killer price!

It's not every year, but I'm definitely starting to try to create an annual tradition of hosting a Holiday Brunch! December can become so busy, so I find that one of the few times you can get everyone together on a weekend is to host a brunch, rather than a dinner or cocktail party. Yesterday I hosted a Secret Santa filled with food, games, presents and laughter! 

Each Christmas morning my family pours a mimosa and opens stockings. Getting little, fun, and useful items is the best way to kick off Christmas morning! Getting a few gifts to add into someone's stocking can bring an extra smile to their face. Especially if you won't spend the morning with someone you love, sneaking in a few gifts to their stocking would be a fun surprise!

As I'm kicking off the holiday season, it's important to recognize and appreciate all that I'm afforded. I have such a loving family, amazingly close group of friends, a fun, lively job, warm home, and the list goes on....
